A dog is abandoned.

Unfortunately, that happens every day.

But what the police finally find on his collar is just sad.

The fact that dogs or other animals are also abandoned in Germany is a sad reality.

Animal shelters are seeing an increase in pets found on the street, especially during holiday periods.

But even when the corona pandemic broke out and many were more at home during the lockdown, some bought a dog or something similar.

Now that many leisure activities are possible again, it bothers some people.

After all, a pet needs a lot of care and attention.

Another problem is that due to the increased demand, the illegal puppy trade from eastern countries has also increased.

Prominent dog lovers like trainer Martin Rütter (52) urgently warn against this.

Added to this is inflation since the beginning of the Ukraine war at the beginning of the year.

Prices for food, but also feed for the four-legged friends have exploded, and there is even a supply shortage for the latter.

This in turn exacerbates the situation and makes it difficult for some pet owners to pay for their fur nose due to the energy crisis.

With the result that the animal shelters are at the limit.

They are already completely overwhelmed and cannot take in any more animals.

But hopefully a four-legged friend will soon find a new place.

A dog has recently been abandoned on the street.

"No one wants me": Dog reunited with owner

A woman found the black fur nose in Haldensleben, Saxony-Anhalt, and took him to the police.

The terrier is said to have worn a collar on which the Cyrillic inscription read: "Nobody wants me".

This is reported by the daily newspaper Volksstimme.

The officials finally took the four-legged friend under their wing in the operational control center and took care of him.

An employee of an animal shelter is said to have picked him up afterwards.

The police officers are now confident that the dog's owner will still get in touch and pick him up.

If you consider the inscription, however, the doubts are great.

But things turned out differently than expected: after the story circulated on Facebook, users reported that the dog was back with its owner.
