François Bayrou keeps the pressure on Emmanuel Macron.
On the eve of a decisive week for the executive, the president of the Democratic Movement (MoDem) reiterated his warning on pensions on Sunday, in his traditional back-to-school speech in Guidel (Morbihan).
He insists, a week after his alert against the risk of a
"forced passage
": he is opposed to the scenario of a reform carried out by the end of the year, in the name of
"consultation"
.

"We are not in pieces
," he insisted to his troops.
“Take three or four months to think together, put options and facts on the table: that would be good.
Not just for civil peace, but for reform itself.”
The High Commissioner for Planning persists in his hostility to a pension reform by way of amendment to the Social Security budget, a method envisaged by the executive.
After fifteen days of debates in the oppositions and in his camp, Emmanuel Macron must bring together this week at the Élysée the ministers concerned and the leaders of the majority.
He must also visit François Bayrou on Friday in his city of Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), a way of displaying the unity of the majority despite the tensions.

In the eyes of the centrist, taking the time for dialogue is a question of

François Bayrou also wants to expand the project promised by Emmanuel Macron.

The centrists want measures on the employment of seniors, long careers and arduousness to be included in the text.
