An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck Hormozgan province, southern Iran, but no injuries were reported.
And the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the seismological center as saying in a statement today: The tremor was at a depth of 18 kilometers from the surface of the earth.
Earlier today, an earthquake measuring 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale hit the city of Kerman, southeast of Iran.
