Today, Spanish Airlines canceled 82 flights across the Canary Islands as Storm Hermine reached from the Atlantic Ocean.
Reuters quoted the Spanish company Aina to operate the airports as saying: It has canceled 34 flights from Tenerife North Airport, 22 from La Palma, 14 from El Hero, 8 from Lanzarote, and 4 from La Gomera.
For its part, the Spanish National Meteorological Agency Emmet issued a red weather warning for the islands of Gran Canaria, La Palma and El Hero, and the islands' authorities ordered the closure of schools tomorrow.
According to the US National Hurricane Center, heavy rain is expected to continue until tomorrow.
