A 15-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured today (Sunday) in a car accident in Tel Aviv.
The police suspect that the offending driver was driving without a license and that he was disqualified from driving.
The incident took place around 08:00, when the boy was walking on Menachem Arber Street in the city.
At some point the driver of the car emerged on the scene and hit the boy.
MDA medics and paramedics evacuated him to the Ichilov Hospital in serious condition while trying to stabilize his condition.
Investigators from the Traffic Division of the Israel Police arrived at the scene of the accident to collect findings. The investigators arrested the offending driver, an 18-year-old resident of the city, who was suspected of driving without a license. And in fact he was disqualified from driving. The suspect will be brought to the court to discuss the extension of his detention.
The accident in Tel Aviv occurred after a 25-year-old man was killed at night after he slipped on the road near the Genot interchange, near Holon.
The MDA team that arrived at the scene found the young man without signs of life, and pronounced him dead on the spot.
"We saw a motorcycle on the road and dozens of meters away was a 25-year-old man lying unconscious," said medic Issachar Weiss and paramedic Zvika Gadlavitz, "he suffered multi-system damage and was Without breathing and without a pulse, we performed medical tests, he had no signs of life and we had to determine his death."
