Twenty-five kilometers uphill and 48 hairpin bends in a wheelchair, with only the strength of the arms, until you reach the finish line of the Coppi peak on the Stelvio pass.
It is the feat accomplished by Federico Rossi, a 28-year-old athlete from Vicenza, who dedicated it "to all those who suffer from much more serious disabilities" than his own.
It took him seven hours, 57 minutes and 46 seconds to reach the 2,758 meters of the 'summit', a symbol for cyclists, compared to the 9 hours he had planned.
The young man told the 'Corriere del Veneto' that his goal went far beyond the Stelvio.
"The summit was just the goal - he said -. The aim, on the other hand, was to bring up there, ideally, all those who suffer from much more serious disabilities than mine and who cannot practice any sport".
