The "Layla" debate also runs through the Oktoberfest.

A Twitter post by the Munich police on the subject is now heating up again.

Munich – The controversial song “Layla” still divides the mind – and does not stop at the Oktoberfest either.

This is testified to by the latest Twitter post from the Munich police.

In it, the officials comment on the said party song and receive not only a lot of encouragement but also some headwind.

Oktoberfest in Munich: "Layla" post by the police on Twitter sparks discussion

The post begins with the words: "No #Wiesnschmankerl".

It goes on to say: “Between the songs of the bands, a woman's name is chanted in the tents.

It's not Rosi... #saynotosexism #just means yes".

The actual message from the officials: a clear no to sexism and sexual harassment of women at the Oktoberfest.

The hashtag “Only yes means yes” stands for accepting a clear “No” from women.

Nevertheless, the post is not well received by many.

This is primarily due to the allusion to "Layla".

A look at the comment column below shows that a total of 199 replies have been collected under the post so far - as of Sunday, September 25, 8:55 a.m.

After all: A user is enthusiastic about the words of the officials: "You're doing it really well!

When it comes to communication, the Munich police are far ahead nationwide anyway!” However, if you scroll down further, it quickly becomes clear: With his words of praise, the commentator is pretty much in the minority here.

"Layla" at the Oktoberfest: Shitstorm against the Munich police - "From tomorrow only Vivaldi"

"I really don't give a fuck about such songs because I don't like any of them.

But find Layla is far from the worst of the songs.

Don't get all the fuss at all.

One should also ban felt 80% of all other songs in the beer tent.

From tomorrow only Vivaldi," says one user quite soberly.

“How can you approve of Rosi and not Layla?

It's the same in the end though.

Let the people have their fun, "another is annoyed.

Another brings Prime Minister Söder into play: "Then you probably didn't listen to our country father in his tapping speech".

The user alludes to the speech of the CSU boss at the Wiesn tapping.

In it, Söder indicated through the flower that he understood Oktoberfest visitors who wanted to celebrate in the marquee at Layla.

"Layla" post: Criticism of the police - "Please don't tweet drunk at work"

Other posts are almost dripping with irony: "Is #Layla still walking around freely?

#Layla is amazing,” it says.

Or "Were the perpetrators rounded up and their personal details recorded?"
