The head of the Russian State Duma's International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, called on US officials to familiarize themselves with Russia's nuclear doctrine before issuing any threat to Russia.
"This is not the first time that the United States has talked about the possibility of Russia's use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, and American specialists should better study the Russian nuclear doctrine before issuing warnings through the media," Slutsky was quoted by the RIA Novosti news agency as saying in a statement today.
He stressed that the United States is the root cause of the conflict today, and if it stops pumping weapons to the Kyiv regime, the confrontation will end soon.
The United States had earlier warned Russia of what it called (the catastrophic consequences of the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine).
