Early Sunday morning, a 53-year-old sexually molested a 25-year-old at the Ebersberg S-Bahn station.

An employee stepped in and federal police officers arrested the suspect.

Ebersberg – After initial investigations and interrogations, the federal police describe the incident as follows: A 25-year-old woman from Erding was sitting on a bench on the platform at around 3:15 a.m.

A 53-year-old from Iraq sat down next to her “and touched the woman in a dirndl in an immoral way on the genital area and above her clothing.

He also put her head on his chest and kissed the young woman without her consent," the Sunday press report said.

Ebersberg: DB employees get help

A 32-year-old Nigerian DB employee noticed this.

The young woman made a helpless impression on him.

He also noticed that she didn't want to be approached, but obviously couldn't defend herself.

The cleaner notified a 46-year-old Afghan colleague.

Together they both separated, took the woman to a nearby DB building and informed the federal police.

The Iraqi had left the train station.

Thanks to quick communication and a search, the police were able to arrest the 53-year-old, who was identified without a doubt, near the train station in Ebersberg, reports the federal police.

Despite his breath alcohol content of 1.55 per mil, the Iraqi seemed oriented to time and place.

He stated that he had done nothing.

Police can arrest suspects

The young woman came from the Oktoberfest and had caught the wrong S-Bahn due to alcohol, according to the press report.

At the platform in Ebersberg, she wanted to take the next S-Bahn into town, but then fell asleep.

The 25-year-old noticed that someone sat down with her, but only got parts of the sexual assault, such as kisses and grips under the dirndl.

"When she wanted to leave, she was held back by the stranger," write the police.

Due to her condition, the woman was unable to scream for help or draw attention to the extremely uncomfortable situation.

According to the Federal Police, the 53-year-old, who is allowed to stay in Germany and has not yet appeared in the police force, will be brought before the magistrate after consultation with the public prosecutor's office for sexual harassment and sexual assault.

At the end of the press report it says: "The Munich Federal Police would like to thank the DB cleaner and his colleagues for their exemplary action in coming to the woman's aid together and with courage in order to protect her from further possible damage."
