a 4-year-old boy was seriously injured today (Sunday) in Jerusalem after being hit by a car on Elazar Maccabi Street.
The boy was taken to Shaare Zedek with bruises on his stomach and limbs.
The traffic accident examiners of the Israel Police began investigating the circumstances of the accident, with the assessment being that the child did not cross a crosswalk.
MDA paramedic Lior Levy said: "The boy was lying on the road while he was conscious and suffering from a multi-system injury.
He was trapped under the car and was rescued.
We gave him medical treatment that included immobilization and stopping bleeding and evacuated him for further treatment at the hospital.
