Two motorcyclists collided on Friday afternoon (September 23) in Gmund - it was uncle and nephew of all people who collided with each other.
Gmund
– As reported by the police, the two men from Ternitz in Austria were traveling together on their motorcycles in the Tegernsee valley when they turned off in Gmund from Tegernsee towards the train station at around 3.50 p.m.
Since the uncle (66) did not know exactly how to proceed, he drove to the right-hand side of the road before the junction to Tölzer Straße.
Then there was the fatal misunderstanding: According to the police, the nephew (42) initially overtook the left.
The uncle also started because he thought it was straight ahead.
At that moment, however, the younger man turned right into Tölzer Strasse in his BMW.
The two men collided and fell.
While the uncle was unharmed, his nephew fractured his shoulder and some ribs.
The vehicles suffered total damage of around 1,500 euros.
"It could no longer be determined on site whether the nephew had already forgiven his uncle," writes the police.
