Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque today.

Palestinian media reported that hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa from the Mughrabi Gate and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, closely guarded by the occupation forces, which intensified their presence at the gates of the mosque and imposed severe restrictions on Palestinian entry to it and prevented them from entering the Bab Al-Rahma chapel.

In a statement today, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa, stressing that it comes within the framework of the occupation’s attempts to control the mosque and Judaize it as an integral part of the processes of Judaizing Jerusalem and separating it completely from its Palestinian surroundings and the continuous targeting of its cultural identity and its Christian and Islamic holy sites by imposing colonial measures to change the historical, legal and demographic reality in it .

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the international community's ignoring of what the Palestinian people are subjected to and its sanctities makes it a victim not only of the occupation, but also of double standards that have come to dominate the international community, stressing that the occupation will not be able to obliterate the Arab Palestinian identity of Jerusalem and its sanctities due to the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites.
