In the footsteps of Francis Bacon in France

DECRYPTION - For the 30th anniversary of the disappearance of the British painter, Sotheby's is selling works on October 24 for the benefit of the Bacon foundation in Monaco.


Three years after representing Great Britain at the 27th Venice Biennale, Francis Bacon arrived in Paris in 1957, where he held his first exhibition and his series of “Van Goghs” inspired by the life of the painter.
