The visit of a VdK delegation to the Neufahrn senior day club is said to have been just the beginning.
Both institutions want to intensify their cooperation.

- The VdK local association in Neufahrn recently visited the premises in the Neufahrn welfare center at the invitation of the SenTa (seniors day meeting).
The whole thing was initiated by the 2nd VdK chairwoman and municipal councilor Silke Rößler with the management of the day care.
"It was an extremely harmonious, interesting and informative meeting for both sides, which should lead to closer contact and exchange," said Rößler afterwards.
In a joint statement with the SenTa it says: "It's nice to see that social institutions can complement each other, in a cooperation."
The VdK has existed in Neufahrn since 1947
The VdK local association has been anchored in the community of Neufahrn and the neighboring towns since 1947.
Germany's largest social association takes a position on pensions, social interaction, political life, social hotspots, etc.
In the foreground, as Silke Rößler explains in a press release, is above all social justice.
In 2023, the campaign is called "Caring for the Neighbors", a hot topic.
Although the senior citizens' day club has existed for 25 years, it has still not really caught on with the citizens.
For example, the SenTa and its employees have been intensively involved in educating people about the diagnosis of dementia for years.
A lot of private time is also invested there.
As part of the third Bavarian Dementia Week, for example, SenTa is offering a lecture for relatives and friends on the subject of "Dealing with Dementia".
Rößler announces: "This is an area in which both organizations want to support and exchange ideas in the future."
Seniors and caregivers can get vaccinated on October 8th
As early as Saturday, October 8th, senior citizens and their caring relatives will have the opportunity to get their fourth vaccination against Covid19 at SenTa.
However, a binding pre-registration on Tel. (0 81 65) 47 89 is required for this.
There are also many other topics, such as senior mobility, joint excursions, a café for seniors, driving services, and and and.
Many ideas could only be addressed and discussed briefly at the meeting with the VdK.
"Unfortunately, time was just too short," was the conclusion of the local chairman of the VdK Neufahrn and deputy district chairman, Markus Tribanek.
