The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with the head of the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, Samer Al-Dibs, and a number of those concerned with the sanitary paper industry, the difficulties facing industrialists during the stages of manufacturing and marketing, and the possibility of contributing to achieving stability in the local market, through the availability of goods at reasonable prices.
Minister Salem stressed that the ministry is responsible for the internal markets and their stability and for the flow of goods in them to meet the needs of citizens, stressing that there is an increase in prices and a decrease in the level of some of the offered qualities, and that pricing should be according to the real cost in addition to the percentage of profits.
With regard to the patrols of the supply police, Minister Salem requested accuracy during the organization of the seizures with a detailed and accurate explanation of the violation in the event that the violation was caught by observation and legal measures were taken according to Decree No. 8 of 2021, but in the event that the violation was not categorically clear, an accurate witness report is organized, then It is presented directly to the concerned manager to take the appropriate decision in the light of reality, so that no error or injustice occurs against any industrialist, with an emphasis on proper dealing with the owners of industrial establishments.
