Are you cicada or ant?
The question is of crucial importance in times of high inflation, of which INSEE gives this irrefutable definition: "
Inflation is the loss of the purchasing power of money which results in a general and lasting increase in prices."
Sustainable?
That's the whole problem, and the solution depends a lot on us.
While consumer prices have increased by 5.9% over the last twelve months, the cicada says to itself: "This euro that I have under my wing and with which I buy 5.9% of food today less than a year ago, let's hurry to spend it before it depreciates further.
For her part, the ant is in despair that her hoard has lost 5.9% of its value over the past year: she is constantly rebuilding it by saving even more than usual.
