Putin signs new law – conscientious objectors face long prison terms

Important points of the new military service law in Russia
Looting:
Up to 15 years in prison is available for looting during mobilization or war.
Surrender:
Anyone who voluntarily surrenders to the "enemy" faces up to 15 years in prison.
Here, however, various details can lead to a mitigation of the sentence.
Refusal:
Reservists who refuse to serve in times of war and mobilization can face up to ten years in prison.
Anyone who refuses military service right from the start faces three years in prison.
