A hiking accident occurred in Wong Tai Sin. At about 8 pm today (25th), the police received a report from a woman, alleging that a man fell off a cliff at Lion Rock.
On-site news said that the male victim was in his 30s. Rescue workers rushed to the Lion Rock Park to gather after receiving the report. The Government Flying Service also dispatched a helicopter to the scene to rescue him.
After the rescue team assembled in Lion Rock Park, the helicopter circled over the top of the mountain to search.

As seen at the scene, a number of fire trucks and ambulances drove to the Lion Rock Park, and personnel immediately climbed the mountain for search and rescue.
Helicopters of the Government Flying Service hovered over the top of Lion Rock and used large lights to search for the missing man who fell off the cliff.
However, due to the dark environment on the mountain after nightfall and the surrounding darkness, the rescue operation was quite difficult.
