He saves him at the last second and is celebrated for it by the network.
The Rhine has problems: due to the hot summer, its water level is at a record low.

It shows a little hedgehog desperately fighting for his life in the water on a sunny day.
How did he get into this mess?
But the young man only asks this question briefly, instead he boldly intervenes.
He strips down to his jean shorts and jumps into the cold water without a second thought.
In his clip, he even suspects that the hedgehog must have been on a ledge before and then somehow fell into the Rhine.
He quickly moves to the spiny animal and uses one hand to pick it up and out of the water as he swims back to shore.

He drops the hedgehog there, who still seems to be in complete shock.
He doesn't move an inch, looks exhausted and is breathing heavily.
As the Tiktoker named "lassmaltrieb" explains at the end of the video, he rested for five minutes and then disappeared into the bushes.
His heartfelt action is now going viral on the social platform.
The clip has already been clicked over 173,000 times, liked almost 20,000 times and commented on countless times.
