Mayor: "I'm scared right away" - Hallberger Wiesn costs the community almost 100,000 euros this year

Mayor Josef Niedermair winced when he looked at the accounts for the Hallberger Wiesn: he hadn't counted on these 95,000 euros.

In 2018 it was still 40,000 euros.
"I'm scared right away," commented Mayor Josef Niedermair (CSU) on the bill for the 2022 folk festival that has now been submitted to the municipal council. almost 40,000 euros transferred.
The calculation does not include the internal calculation for the building yard (10,800 euros).
Almost 10,000 euros were incurred for heating and ventilation.
The extensive corona measures were not cheap either
The head of the municipality explained at the most recent council meeting why it became so much more expensive.
A construction fence (around 6200 euros) was set up and security was deployed (7000 euros).
In addition, more tokens than usual were issued, for example for guests of honor, employees and daycare staff, which is seen as compensation for the community's unusual Christmas invitations.

The memorial service for the deceased Mayor Harald Reents with numerous guests of honour, including from the partner municipality of Predazzo, also had an impact.
Added to this, Niedermair continued, were the general price increases.
In addition, a new banner for the rear wall of the tent has been designed and manufactured.
Cost point: almost 15,000 euros.
