The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Suwayda organized 15 catering seizures for multiple violations, with their owners referred to the duly competent judiciary.
The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the directorate, Jihad Tarabay, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the seizures organized over the past two weeks were distributed by two seizures in two private bakeries due to a lack of the weight of a bundle of bread, 4 against bread agents for trafficking in the substance, 3 seizures of owners of transportation vehicles for charging excessive wages, and two seizures of owners of transportation means to prevent service performance.
The seizures also included violations in two gas stations for the illegal disposal of diesel and gasoline, two shops for not advertising prices, and in one of the shops due to fraud and fraud in the statement card.
According to Tarabieh, 10 shops were closed administratively in different areas of the governorate for a week due to catering violations related to the illegal disposal of materials and the failure to announce their prices, in addition to the withdrawal of 15 samples of different materials, five of which conform to the specifications and the rest are under analysis.
Last month, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Suwayda organized 43 catering seizures for violations committed, with their owners referred to the duly competent judiciary.
