The climbing difficulty of the Sky Cliff is rated as "five-star" by hiking enthusiasts. Rock climbing and mountain art coach Liang Nianhao also pointed out that the terrain of the Sky Cliff in Mitong Rock Stream on Lantau Island is extremely dangerous, with an inclination of nearly 90 degrees and a height of about 70 meters. It is very slippery. A little careless climber can easily fall straight to the bottom of the cliff, resulting in injury or death.
Many people have died there in the past.
Liang reiterated that people who climb Motian Cliffs are prone to serious accidents if they have not received professional training and equipped with professional equipment.
Liang pointed out that in the past 20 years, at least three people have been killed by climbing the cliffs of the sky, and a coroner's court has been held afterwards.
The coroner's judge ordered a warning sign to be erected on the trail leading to Ferris Cliffs, reminding the public that there have been multiple fatalities there.

Even veterans with certain rock climbing experience, without professional qualifications and equipment, are prone to accidents when climbing the cliff.
He believes that climbing the cliff requires the qualification of "mountain art leader rope". In addition, safety ropes, chest straps, common knots and rock climbing buckles and other equipment are required when climbing. There must be a group of professionals with professional qualifications, otherwise accidents are still inevitable.

The incident happened at 12:18 noon today (25th), a group of 17 people went to Mitong Shijian to hike the mountain. When they reached the Motian Cliff, the 65-year-old male victim surnamed Lu fell 100 meters into the hillside and fell unconscious.
Government Flying Service helicopters were called to the scene for search and rescue.
The victim was sent to the Eastern District Hospital for emergency treatment, but unfortunately he was unable to do anything.
The CAS pointed out that the Mountain Search and Rescue Squadron was called to follow the helicopter of the Government Flying Service to the Sky Cliff to rescue the accident from the falling cliff of the Sky Cliff at Mitong Shijian, Lantau Island. One of the men fell into a coma from a height.
Due to the dangerous terrain of the incident site, the person who fell off the cliff was sent to the Eastern District Hospital by helicopter for rescue, while the remaining 16 people were taken to a safe location by members of the Mountain Search and Rescue Squadron.
