Florian Herrmann wants to know it again: For the state elections in 2023 he throws his hat in the ring again as MdL.

The district CSU gave him 98.92 of the votes.

Langenbach

– “I just want to tackle it again.” The CSU members want that too and therefore chose their district chairman Florian Herrmann on Saturday with 98.82 percent of the votes as the direct candidate for the 2023 state elections.

And for the district assembly, too, the delegates relied on a proven force at their meeting in Langenbach: Simon Schindlmayr received 97.59 percent of the votes.

Herrmann himself briefly outlined the path of his political rise in his report and his speech to the delegates.

"The exciting journey" began in 2008 in the state parliament as a "classic backbencher", in 2013 he became chairman of the interior committee, and since 2018 he has been a state minister and head of the state chancellery in the cabinet - "a great task", says Herrmann.

The 50-year-old not only listed what he was responsible for in his office in Munich, but also assured: "I'm still taking care of the constituency." But because the state elections will be about Bavaria in a year, that was Herrmann's focus on Saturday was on the big issues.

His message: "The CSU must be the number one anchor of stability and counter the traffic light chaos in Berlin."

After the election defeat in 2021, the CSU found its center again as a party

After the defeat in the 2021 federal election, the CSU “found its center again as a party” and is currently stable at 40 percent in the polls.

Now it is important to continue to "radiate courage, confidence and trust", after all it has been proven "that we can manage crises".

And because the energy crisis resulting from the Ukraine conflict, which will bring the country a "heavy winter", will be "even more fundamental and dramatic" than the Corona crisis, three things are needed now: empathy for the people of Ukraine, the clear naming of wrong decisions by the government in Berlin and clear decisions "what else we can do in Bavaria".

Harsh criticism of the Greens followed: Robert Habeck had “no idea”, “he should be replaced as Economics Minister”.

Herrmann saw "a disenchantment of the Greens", who "always start with charm and esprit and then end in chaos" when participating in government.

Herrmann's conclusion: "The Greens are useless when things get serious", which is why "the small Greens" in Munich also have no place in the government.

The coalition works “properly” with the Free Voters, which is almost “a romantic relationship” compared to the situation in government at the federal level.

It is therefore the declared goal for the state elections to continue the "Bavarian coalition" with the FW, to defend "Liberalitas Bavarica".

And when the delegates again chose him as their direct candidate, Herrmann promised: "We'll rock it together." The delegates followed his request, 84 of the 85 votes cast went to Herrmann.

Because, according to Erich Irlstorfer, the 2023 state elections will be "again a battle like 1313 near Gammelsdorf", the member of the Bundestag presented him with a wooden model of the battle memorial in Gammelsdorf as a loan for the coming year.

For the third time, the delegates then sent Simon Schindlmayr (38) as a direct candidate in the 2023 district elections. Schindlmayr said that the district stands for “that the efficiency of democracy is guaranteed”, that the district is “the rock in the surf” for many people. , was also “a reliable partner” during the refugee crisis – all also and above all because of the CSU.

The district also benefits from his personal commitment and the CSU policy in the district, emphasized Schindlmayr and referred to the establishment of a care base, which will be officially opened this week.

The reward for the speech: 81 of the 83 valid votes went to Schindlmayr.

The second-vote candidates, who are then ranked on the CSU's Upper Bavaria list, are elected later.
