Tai Hang Lai Tak Village, Hung Hom Whampoa New Village and other four districts tested positive for sewage, the government sent 200,000 rapid test kits

The government announced today (25th) that in response to the positive results of the sewage test in the four districts and the relatively high virus load, it shows that there may be hidden patients in the premises in the districts, involving Tai Po Sunshine Garden, Tuen Mun Maiermei Bay, Tai Hang In Lai Tak Village, Hung Hom Whampoa New Village, etc., the District Offices in the districts will successively distribute a total of about 200,000 rapid antigen test kits to residents, cleaning staff and property management staff for their own testing to help identify infected persons.

The Environmental Protection Department and the Drainage Services Department are collecting sewage samples for coronavirus testing in various districts. The following districts have positive results and relatively high virus levels:

1. Tai Po District - Xinxing Garden, Ming Ya Court, Yi Ya Court, Tai Po Mei Village, Zhangshutan, and residential areas near Nansheng Street and Wai Yi Street

2. Tuen Mun District - Green House, Jade Club, Tuen Mun New Village, Fuk Hang Village, Yufeng Garden, Shun Fung Wai, Wai Fung Garden, Maiermei Bay and Hoi Cui Garden

3. Wanchai District - Jiayou Building, Wenxi Building, Lijie Garden, Tung Hei Building, Wing Cheong Building, Lido Building, Lai Tak Village, and residential areas near Jupiter Street and Shell Street

4. Kowloon City District - Luen Shing Building, South Shore of the Waterfront, Hung Hom Bay Centre, Jewel Cinema Building, Whampoa New Village and residential areas near Liberty Road and Victory Road

Persons who have obtained positive results for the first time with the rapid antigen test can declare through the "2019 Coronavirus Rapid Antigen Test Positive Results Person Declaration System" online platform.

If members of the public have difficulty using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 183 6119 to register their identity documents and telephone numbers.

The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health will contact the person concerned to complete the declaration process.
