This season will focus on the period of the 1990s, sweeping through a succession of events: the year 1992 or the Queen's "annus horribilis", marked by the fire at Windsor Castle, the divorce of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips and the release of the book Princess of Wales

which reveals the disastrous underside of her marriage to Prince Charles.
