Hama, SANA- The campaign to investigate early cancer, launched by the National Committee for Disease Control, continues in Hama governorate

The campaign for early detection of cancer, launched by the National Committee for Cancer Control, under the title (Your awareness is your strength), continues in Hama, amid easy medical procedures and examinations for citizens to check on their health.

The mobile medical vehicle in the town of Al-Saan in the eastern countryside of Hama, which is one of the largest towns in the Badia, witnessed a good turnout by the auditors to conduct the necessary examinations and early detection of the disease, which contributes to its treatment.

The director of the health zone in Salamiyah city, Dr. Rami Razzouk, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the response to the campaign is wide from both men and women, in about 15 villages in the Al-Saan district, especially those whose people returned to it after the defeat of terrorism.

Dr. Razzouk pointed out that the campaign will continue in Salamiyah until the twenty-ninth of this month, and during the remaining four days of the campaign, the mobile medical vehicle will roam in Salamiyah countryside to the towns of Deniba and Tildra, so that the people of other nearby villages can benefit from the campaign, in addition to transporting people from the villages. And the neighboring towns of Salamiyah and mobile medical clinics, in order to relieve them of the trouble of moving.

Muhammad Darwish, from the Al-Saan district, noted the campaign and the tests and analyzes it provides to investigate cancer, which immunizes citizens from this chronic disease, contributes to a faster recovery from it, and reduces treatment costs and burdens on patients.

Shaima Al-Hassan, who benefited from the campaign, indicated that she came after being informed by the medical teams of the arrival of the mobile medical clinic to the area, noting that she had conducted breast and uterine smear tests, in order to be more reassured about her health condition, in accordance with the principle of an ounce of prevention that is better than a pound of treatment.

It is noteworthy that the national campaign to investigate breast, cervical and prostate cancer was launched in Hama on the 19th of this month, and will continue until the 9th of next November.
