The President of Cuba expresses his expectations before the referendum on equal marriage

Despite the threat of the impact of Hurricane Ian in Cuba, thousands of citizens turned out to vote in the referendum that would approve same-sex marriage on the island.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed that his expectation is that "the majority will vote yes."
