Three individuals have been remanded in custody in Quimper after the interception of a go-fast party from Spain which resulted in the seizure of 115 kg of cannabis resin.
The operation was launched on the night of Wednesday, September 21 with the assistance of GIGN.
It aimed to intercept "
a convoy of two vehicles leading a go-fast
", returning from southern Spain and going up the Atlantic coast crossing Deux-Sèvres and Charente-Maritime, specifies the National Gendarmerie in a press release.

Two "
very unfavorably known
" men were arrested and "
nearly 115 kilograms of cannabis resin
" were seized inside the carrier vehicle, according to the gendarmerie.
“
A woman belonging to this same network
” was also arrested at her home in Quimperlé (Finistère).
“
Elements materializing the behavior of the traffic (cocaine, cannabis resin and herbal cannabis), as well as valuables
” were seized “
during this search.
"Two handguns and several hundred ammunition", cannabis resin were also discovered in a searched vehicle, adds the gendarmerie.

Placed in police custody, the three individuals were presented on Saturday to the Quimper prosecutor's office with a view to the opening of a judicial investigation for "drug trafficking, importation of narcotics, participation in a criminal association, detention of weapons and ammunition of category B", indicates the National Gendarmerie.
Presented to a judge, they were all three placed in pre-trial detention, adds the National Gendarmerie.
