Damascus-SANA

At the end of each day of the National Cancer Investigation Campaign, blood samples, smears and pictures are collected from public hospitals, medical centers and clinics and delivered to the reference centers approved by the campaign.

As soon as the results of the analyzes are issued, they are recorded electronically on the data management system of the beneficiaries subject to the survey by the central data center.

In the follow-up center at the Health Directorate, suspicious cases are contacted, and their data will appear automatically on the beneficiaries’ data management system to inform them of the results and arrange with them to book appointments for the necessary additional medical examinations and conduct biopsies and examinations within the hospitals and health centers determined by the Health Directorate.

When the results appear, the Health Directorate monitors them and informs the beneficiary and the National Cancer Control Committee of these results.

It is noteworthy that the national campaign to investigate cancer, implemented by the National Cancer Control Program, launched its third station after Tartous and Lattakia in Hama governorate since the 19th of this month and will continue until the 9th of next November under the slogan “Your awareness is your strength.”
