A fortnight ago, 172 sheep died after a bear attack in Aulus-les-Bains, in Ariège.
The most serious "detachment" of the season.
A few weeks earlier, on August 19, 45 sheep were killed during a similar fall in Bentaillou, still in Ariège.
“Sheep do not jump into the void for no reason.

, insists Franck Watts, breeder in these territories and responsible for the bear file at the National Sheep Federation (FNO).
It is only since the bear is back in France that we have had the rocks of hundreds of ewes.
Should we see a cause and effect relationship?
These two tragedies follow three court decisions during the month of August.
They canceled the execution of eight prefectural decrees authorizing scaring shots, intended to scare the animal.
