“The Window” .. the second performance of the sixth Suwayda Theater Festival

The activities of the Sixth Suwayda Theater Festival continued on the stage of the Palace of Culture with the presentation of the play "The Window" by director Hani Al-Atrash.

The show was taken from the Polish writer Iriniusz Eredinsky, prepared and represented by Kholoud Al-Musafi and Hani Al-Atrash, and it was transferred to reality and the local dialect to reflect what relations and the human psyche may be exposed to.

The show says that one night the husband sees a small torch in the opposite window, to make a turning point inside him, and he remains staring at it in the hope that it will be repeated again, so the wife sees this as a threat to her relationship and her inner world, so she tries hard to save this relationship and restore what was broken.

The show took part in discussion during a critical dialogue session about it, where a number of the participants saw that the work was interesting and of theatrical value, and it demonstrated the extent to which the director was able to present his presentation and idea within the room’s theater, and to convey the resulting interactive feeling.

The training workshop on preparing the actor also continued, with the participation of about 22 amateur trainees, where, according to its supervisor, a faculty member at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Dr. And he adapts it to serve the idea and discourse of the presentation, according to a training curriculum based on scientific and practical research conducted by Al-Hijri on physical expression.

The activities of the festival, organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music, the National Theater Department in Sweida and the Directorate of Culture in the governorate, started yesterday and will continue until next Friday with a daily theatrical performance, followed by a critical dialogue session accompanied by a workshop on preparing the actor, with two intellectual seminars on the art of writing theatrical text and the manifestations of contemporary Syrian theater. With the participation of a number of writers and directors.
