A fire broke out in Kwai Chung.
At about 2 am, the fire service received multiple fire reports that there was a fire under the footbridge on Kwai Chung Road opposite Kwong Fai Circuit.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the above site was a parking lot for motorcycles. Many motorcycles were on fire. They immediately dispatched a smoke cap team to open their throats to rescue them. The fire was extinguished about 20 minutes later, and no one was injured in the incident.
However, after a preliminary count, as many as 45 motorcycles were burned at the site.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire. It is reported that the fire was initially suspicious and was handed over to the police as "arson" for follow-up.
