A 12-year-old girl shot her father and then shot herself Tuesday in Weatherford, outside Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, after reaching a pact with another minor to kill their families and pets, according to the Parker County Sheriff's Office.
The agents found the minor lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head and a weapon under her body at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to reports through the social network Facebook.
Her father, 38, was found inside the house with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Investigators believe the girl shot her father, ran away and then shot herself, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Both were hospitalized, but her condition has not been reported.

The Sheriff's Office did not release the man's name to protect the girl's identity, because she is a minor.
It has also not indicated whether she is in custody or charged over the incident.

Authorities said the shooting was part of a murder plot the girl made weeks ago with another girl in Lufkin, about 230 miles southeast of Weatherford.
The girls planned to kill their families and pets and then flee to the state of Georgia together, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities accused the Lufkin girl of planning her father's murder, but said she did not carry it out.
"Due to the injuries, the age of the minors and the sensitive nature of the case, the information released will be limited," the Sheriff's Office said.
