A delegation from the Families of Tripoli and the North of Lebanon today thanked the Syrian leadership and people for the great efforts and efforts in rescuing the victims of the Lebanese boat that sank off the shore of Tartous, and in rescuing the survivors and providing them with medical services.
In a statement to reporters, the head of the delegation, Adnan Al-Omari, praised the communication and follow-up between the Lebanese and Syrian leaderships, praising the participation of military boats and helicopters in the search for survivors, and thanking the Syrian leadership and the people of Arwad Island, who were proactive in their humanitarian work.
Al-Omari said: "We are very sad for the victims and their families, and we offer our condolences to everyone in Lebanon and Syria."
The number of victims of the sinking boat rose to 99, while all the survivors were discharged from Al-Basel Hospital after their health improved.
