While the whole family was eating a holiday meal, Hodia Shemesh from Zichron Ya'akov arrived yesterday (Sunday) at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in her room to receive her gift for the Hebrew New Year - a son, sixth in number, weighing 3.536 kg. "The birth was a dream," she sums up the Her Rosh Hashanah experience.
"At about 2:30 p.m. I just finished preparing the house for the holiday, which we hosted this year," says 37-year-old Hodia Shemesh from Zichron Ya'akov.
In the end I decided that when he wanted to go out - he would go out." Hodia also added that "as soon as I finished all the preparations, suddenly my water broke, and my husband immediately drove us to the emergency room.
So called, the baby chose to do it on New Year's Eve.
For me, this is the best gift I could have received for the New Year."

She says that this is her sixth birth at Hillel Yaffe Hospital, and that four sisters and a brother are waiting for the new brother at home.
She received her new brother with the midwives Tami Yagodiev and Rona Reichman-Kritz by her side, who she describes as the ones who created a powerful, attentive, relaxing and professional birth for her.
"My midwives supported me all the way and made the birth a dream birth for me," she concludes and says with a smile: "If not to be at home on a holiday eve, then to have a birth like this with such a stunning team."
Little and Shay Shemesh also received a special present this year on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah.
Little gave birth during the night, at the Linson hospital, to a third son, weighing 3.778 kg. "I had an amazing birth," Little said, "thanks to the amazing midwives - Shira Katz who took care of me in the evening and Michal Grossbald who delivered me at the beginning of the night shift."
Waiting for the new baby at home are two older brothers and sisters, 6-year-old Rani and 4-year-old Liri.
"It always excites me to receive births, and certainly on Rosh Hashanah," shares midwife Michal Grossbald, "a new baby, in a new year, for a particularly charming couple."
