Brawl at the Oktoberfest: A 26-year-old from the southern district of Munich hit a Munich beer mug from behind on the head.
Munich – There was a fight on Sunday evening at the Oktoberfest: a 26-year-old from the southern district of Munich hit a 38-year-old Munich beer mug from behind on the head.
This was announced by the police headquarters in Munich.
Dispute at the Oktoberfest: 38-year-old suffered severe lacerations from a blow
The 38-year-old suffered a severely bleeding laceration as a result of the blow.
Police officers provided first aid on site until the ambulance arrived.
The 26-year-old suspect was arrested near the scene of the crime, at the main entrance to the Ochsenbraterei;
The 38-year-old had to be taken to a hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.
Oktoberfest: dispute trigger for action?
The police have yet to determine whether a previous dispute was the trigger for the attack.
According to statements by the police, the 26-year-old citizen of the district put up massive resistance in the detention cell, as a result of which an officer was slightly injured.
After that he was taken into custody.
He is now being investigated for assault and resisting police officers.
