From October 1st, Canada will lift all restrictions on entry and epidemic prevention of the new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19), and passengers are not required to wear masks and show proof of vaccination when boarding the plane; testing and isolation requirements have been cancelled.
Canada announced on September 26 that, regardless of nationality, travelers do not need to submit health information through the epidemic prevention app ArriveCAN, or show proof of vaccination.
Some believe these measures are responsible for delays in crossing borders.
Passengers are also not required to wear masks on planes and trains, the government statement said.
The airport will also not require passengers to undergo testing in the form of random samples.
Current Canadian policy is that unvaccinated people must be tested and quarantined for 14 days upon entry.
