One defendant found not guilty after trial

The defendants, Kwong Wai Pong (21 years old, associate degree student) and Huang Junye (21 years old, unemployed).

Convicted of one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, alleging that they reached an agreement at Pik Uk Prison on February 3, 2020, to delete information on two internet accounts and a mobile phone number.

Among them, the remaining two were acquitted, and the other two were convicted. Kwong was sentenced to 10 months in prison, and Huang was sentenced to 4 months in prison.

Another defendant in the same case, Yu Xinyu (21 years old, former assistant to district councillor Huang Guotong), was found not guilty after trial.

Kwong was also charged with 2 counts of possession of explosives, alleging that he possessed the explosives nitrocellulose (i.e. fire sponge) and 10 smoke cakes in a mini warehouse in Shi Cheong, Kwun Tong on December 24, 2019. He was also convicted. guilty.
