Cuba's electoral authority announced on Monday (September 26th) that the Family Code, which includes same-sex marriage and surrogacy, had been "
approved
" by referendum, stating that the partial results giving 66% of votes in favor were "
irreversible
".

", the president of the National Electoral Council (CEN), Alina Balseiro, said on state television.
The new law had to obtain more than 50% to be approved.
