The Danish maritime traffic authority announced Monday, September 26 a gas leak in the Baltic Sea, near the route of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline linking Russia to Germany, victim according to the German authorities of an unexplained drop in pressure.

The gas leak, located southeast of the Danish island of Bornholm, "
is dangerous for maritime traffic
" and "
navigation is prohibited within a radius of five nautical miles (about 9 kilometers, editor's note) around the position reported
," the authority said in a notice to ships.
