According to the Paris Region Institute, nearly 1.15 million homes in the Ile-de-France are exposed to the consequences of shrinkage-swelling of clay (RGA).
Depending on the droughts and heavy rains, by the effect of retraction and swelling of the basements, the phenomenon can cause significant damage to dwellings, according to a more or less strong classification.
