Attempted homicide in Essen: On Sunday, September 25, a man with stab wounds to his upper body was found at City Hall.
The police are looking for witnesses.
Essen – On Sunday morning, September 25th, a 45-year-old man was critically injured by several stitches in his upper body.
The act happened on the forecourt of the town hall in Essen.
According to the police, a suspect was arrested on Sunday afternoon, a few hours after the attempted homicide, reports 24RHEIN.

"Around 10:20 a.m., callers reported to the police control center and reported a fight in front of the Rathaus-Galerie, in which a knife was said to have been used," reports the police.
When the officials entered the scene, they discovered the critically injured man and carried out first aid.
He was then treated by an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

Through the investigation, the police came across a 37-year-old suspect.
He was found as part of a search at Essen main station and arrested for the time being.
A homicide commission is now investigating the case, and the 37-year-old is to be brought before a magistrate on Monday, September 26th.
The police are now looking for witnesses who may have heard of the crime.
