For the first time since the Russian invasion: Israel agreed to treat wounded Ukrainian soldiers.

According to the Ukrainian Embassy, ​​Jerusalem approved bringing 20 Ukrainian soldiers with serious injuries to receive medical treatment in Israel.

Two of them already landed in Israel yesterday and were transferred to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer for treatment and fitting of prosthetic limbs.

18 more soldiers will arrive in Israel in the next two weeks and will be treated in various hospitals throughout the country.

The Embassy of Ukraine stated: "We express our gratitude to the Israeli government, in particular the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for organizing the treatment process for Ukrainian soldiers in leading hospitals in Israel free of charge."

From the beginning of the war, Israel refused to provide aid to wounded Ukrainians, despite repeated requests from Ukraine.
