A liter of diesel now costs an average of 1.66 euros at service stations. On the gasoline side, the SP 95-E10 is displayed at 1.49 and the SP 98 at 1.59 euros.

The decline continues.

Last week, fuel prices were again on a downward trend, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, published on Monday.

As in the previous week, diesel fuel fell the most.

The liter has lost 3.7 cents in one week, now being displayed at 1.66 euros on average in service stations.

On the gasoline side, the drop is tiny this week, and almost invisible for the wallets of motorists.

The liter of unleaded 95 (SP 95) and that of SP 95-E10 fell by less than one euro cent.

They now cost respectively 1.55 euro and 1.49 euro on average.

The liter of SP 98 has decreased by 1 cent to 1.59 euros.

For both gasoline and diesel, the decline has been uninterrupted since the beginning of the month.

Prices at the pump have even been on a downward slope since mid-June.

Diesel has lost almost 48 cents since then.

The fall represents 58 cents for the SP 95, 61 cents for the SP 95-E10 and 61 cents also for the SP 98.

These prices are partly artificial.

They take into account government rebates on the one hand, and TotalEnergies on the other.

The first now amounts to 30 cents per litre, and the second to 20 cents.

They must both be reduced on November 1 - respectively from 30 to 10 cents and from 20 to 10 cents - before ending on January 1, 2023.
