German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has tested positive for Covid after returning from a tour of the Middle East, the government spokesman announced on Monday.
The 64-year-old leader showed “
mild symptoms
” of a cold, before testing positive on Monday and going into solitary confinement in his chancery apartment, according to Steffen Hebestreit.
His appointments for the next few days will be held virtually, said the spokesperson.
