The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran blamed the West for the mass protest that broke out following the murder of the Kurdish young woman • In Germany, the Iranian ambassador in Berlin was summoned to a reprimand: "we are considering all options" • A police officer was recorded brutally beating a protester

Denial of responsibility:

Iran today (Monday) accused the US of exploiting the riots in the country that broke out following the murder of Mahsa Amini by the modesty police in Tehran. The Islamic Republic warned that this matter will not remain unanswered in view of the largest demonstrations since 2019 that are still ongoing.

Amini was arrested earlier this month by the modesty police while visiting Tehran, allegedly because she was not wearing a hijab.

Later, the Kurdish young woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition and entered a state of coma.

In the end the doctors had to pronounce her dead.

Her family accused the chastity police of the murder.

Since her death, demonstrations have broken out in dozens of centers in the country.

The protest is taking place mainly in Tehran and the west, where the Kurdish minority lives.

"Washington is always trying to weaken Iran's stability and security, even though it has not succeeded," said the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kanani, to the local news site "Noor News".

On his official social media page, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman accused the leaders of the US and several European countries of exploiting the "tragic event" in support of the riots.

In the meantime, Germany summoned Iran's ambassador in Berlin for a reprimanding conversation against the background of the brutal suppression of the demonstrations.

So far dozens of people have been killed in clashes with the security forces.

Videos of policemen beating protesters were circulated on social networks.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi called at the end of the week to take a tough hand against the protesters.

The spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry replied to the question about the possibility of imposing additional sanctions on Iran that the country is considering "all options" with other countries in the European Union.
