Heavy demonstrations continue in Iran following the death of young woman Mahsa Amini.

Head of state Raisi now threatened "decisive" action.

Tehran/Munich - The demonstrations in Iran are intensifying.

After the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini at the hands of Iranian police, women are defying the Iranian government's strict rules on clothing.

Despite a warning from the judicial authorities, numerous demonstrators took to the streets again.

The human rights organization Iran Human Rights (IHR) in Oslo published pictures of demonstrators in Tehran shouting “death to the dictator”.

Eyewitnesses told the AFP news agency about protests in several towns, including Tabriz and Shiraz.

Riots also broke out in the city of Karaj.

According to reports, another young woman has now been killed there.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said he wanted to take "decisive" action against the demonstrations.

These are the largest demonstrations since 2019, when it came to fuel prices.

Iran protests: 23-year-old woman Hadis Najafi killed - her hair video had become a symbol

While the shock of Amini's death continues to run deep, another woman has now reportedly been killed in demonstrations in the western Tehran city of Karaj.

The 23-year-old Hadis Nadjafi was hit in the neck and face after police shots at demonstrators and died, the Arabic broadcaster Al-Arabiya, based in Dubai, reported, citing Iranian activists and the journalist Farzad Seifikaran.

Shortly before reports of her death, a video of Najafi emerged, making her a symbol of the demonstrations.

The footage shows Najafi calmly tying her hair up and preparing to join the protests.

In Iran it is forbidden for women to go out on the streets without a headscarf.

Iran protests: Raisi wants 'decisive' action against protesters - Tehran unhappy with Western 'meddling'

In the midst of the heavy demonstrations, resentment is spreading among the Iranian leadership.

Iranian President Raisi called on the security authorities to take "decisive" action against the demonstrations.

He called the protests “riots”.

The head of Iran's judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Edschei, also announced on Sunday (September 25) a "firm and relentless approach" against those responsible for the "riots".

Iran is also dissatisfied with Western support for the demonstrations.

This is how Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian criticized the USA.

His spokesman Nasser Kanani accused Washington of wanting to violate Iranian sovereignty in an interview with

the Iranian newspaper

Nour News .

The ambassadors of Britain and Norway have been summoned to the foreign ministry in Tehran to protest "meddling" and "hostile media reports,"

Reuters

news agency said.

Iran protests: EU shoots at Iranian government for handling demos - "unjustifiable"

The embassies of the European Union are likely to cause trouble in Tehran.

The EU condemned the violent crackdown on demonstrations critical of the regime.

"The widespread and disproportionate use of force against non-violent protesters is unjustifiable and unacceptable for the European Union and its member states," said EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell on behalf of the 27 member states.

At the same time, the EU threatened vaguely with possible sanctions against Iran.

Before the next meeting of foreign ministers, the EU will "examine all options available to it to respond to the assassination of Mahsa Amini and the manner in which the Iranian security forces have reacted to the subsequent demonstrations," it said.

People have the right to protest peacefully.

It is expected that Iran will stop the violent crackdown on the protests immediately.

Access to the Internet must also be guaranteed.

Mahsa Amini: Young woman killed by Iranian religious police - tomography confirms suspicion

Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, everyday life has been extremely difficult, especially for women, especially when it comes to clothing.

The strict regulations introduced by the Iranian government are controlled by the religious or moral police.

Mahsa Amini became the victim of precisely this security apparatus.

On September 16, she died in police custody after being arrested for "immoral conduct."

That means she didn't wear her headscarf the way it was supposed to.

Official sources in Tehran attribute her death to a heart attack and stroke.

Allegations of police violence are vehemently denied.

Appropriately, a recording was published that is supposed to show how the young woman suddenly collapsed in the police station.

According to her family, however, the 22-year-old had no known heart disease.

The version provided by the Iranian government also does not shed any light on what happened before the short excerpt and immediately after Amini's arrest.

A computer tomography of the deceased, however, confirms the suspicion of police violence.

According to the British newspaper

The Guardian

, Amini was diagnosed with a broken bone, bleeding and cerebral edema.

The British broadcaster BBC reported that the police hit the young woman with a baton and also hit her head against a police car.
