Jupiter makes its closest approach to Earth in 59 years

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, will be at its closest point to Earth in 59 years, according to NASA.

This means that the earth will be between the sun and Jupiter.

When this happens, our planet and the gas giant will be 590.6 million kilometers apart.
