Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that the rise in energy prices and inflation in Europe was the result of the sanctions policy pursued by the European Union.
And the Russia Today website quoted Orban as saying in Parliament today: “The reasons for the high prices are political, not economic. Brussels responded to the Ukrainian crisis, that is, the imposition of sanctions, which led to a rise in energy prices several times.”
Orban added: “The growth of energy prices and the rise in inflation affected all countries. Terrible energy prices are not the result of economic processes, but are due to the exact sanctions. Therefore, it is not the economy that is responsible for the rise in energy prices, but politics, that is, Brussels’ decisions.”
Europe in general is witnessing successive economic crises and stagnation against the backdrop of the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russia in the wake of its special military operation to protect Donbass.
