Mogadishu-SANA
The Somali government announced the elimination of more than 30 terrorists from Al-Shabab, which is linked to Al-Qaeda, and the wounding of about 55 others in Galguduud Governorate, south-central of the country.
The Somali News Agency quoted the Deputy Minister of Information in the federal government, Abd al-Rahman Yusuf al-Adala, as saying that the death toll from the movement’s losses amounted to 30 dead and 55 wounded, after four terrorist attacks carried out in the Taisqi area in Galguduud province, which was liberated yesterday, pointing to the control of Somali army soldiers and local residents. Complete control of the areas that have been liberated from the remnants of the “extreme youth” militias.
A Somali soldier was killed and six others were wounded in a suicide attack, targeting a military base west of Mogadishu, for which Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility yesterday.
